Lucet Knitting Fork

  • Product Description

Our durable wooden Knitting Fork (also known as a lucet) is an easy way to introduce children to the art of knitting. Lucet knitting is a traditional craft that dates back to medieval times.

Lucet is a tool used in cordmaking or braiding which is believed to date back to the Viking periods, when it was used to create cords that were used on clothing, or to hang items from the belt. Lucet cord is square, strong, and slightly springy. The lucet was widely used until machine-made cords came along in the 19th century.
